My WALL·E review..

Wall·E has taken over Toy Story's spot of my favorite Pixar movie of all time. This movie managed to touch my heart and spirit in so many ways. I felt so lovely and I constantly felt something special and heartwarming running through me. Love, definitely, makes me happy and as if I'm on top of the world and in this movie it is seen blossoming through many elements. The amount of humor in the film was perfect and the music couldn't have been better. The emphasis on telling a story with few words is a genius concept! I am ecstatic that not only did this hold and keep the attention of Andrew but I was captivated by this computer animated film. I'm thrilled to experience something as heartfelt as this production and I feel Pixar has definitely stepped up their game with this Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class :-)

U.S. AIR FORCE

The Global Positioning Systems Wing Space and Missile Systems Center cordially invited us to a ceremony in honor of

Varetta M. Thomas [Management Assistant]

on the occasion of her retirement from The United States Federal Government on Thursday, the twenty-sixth of June two thousand and eight at ten o'clock in morning.
It was held at The Gordon Conference Center in the Los Angeles Air Force Base.
Colonel John Amstrong, USAF Retired officiated.
Captain Dawn Heffelfinger narrated.

Varetta was the Management Assistant to the Director of Contracts, Global Positioning Systems Wing, providing support to Procuring Contracting Officers and Contract Specialists to accomplish pre-award and post award functions for highly complex, high monetary value, long-term acquistions for major weapons systems of high visibility and crucial to the Department of Defense.

A poem written by her Grandson, Edward Gibson IV:

"Retirement is an Accomplishment."
Success
Success is a grand peak to obtain.
Success is not escaping problems but facing them creatively.
Success is not necessarily reaching your goal-but reaching the maximum possibilites in light of opportunites that come your way.
Success is made by hard work that is created and builds character, that unlocks doors for more opportunities.
Success is to never settle for less and believe all obstaceles are complete.
Success is started off by the caring of one to focus and do their best.
Success would not occur if one gave up hope and hid from the challenge.
Caring enough to accept the challenge shows how indomitable one is.
To just think of retirement as a great ending that had a rocky beginning-but the start of a new relaxing life with more obstacles to overcome.
What is success?
The key to success is to be hard working, caring, and being indomitable.
Varetta Thomas is the essence to the word success
{He's 17. I'm so proud of him!}
There was a luncheon immediately following the ceremony at the Salt Creek Grille in the El Segundo plaza in which we consumed a GRILLED CHICKEN BLT: fresh chicken, smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato, cheddar cheese & chipotle mayo; Served with garlic fries. YUMMAY.

How Cool is This..

Disney Pixar's Cars!

Intelligent!

Allow me to share a story with you.. Andrew and I had gone to Albertsons two weeks ago for an 8hr sale they had goin' on lol and I applied for the "Preferred" card. When I got it I had to take out the mini-keychain cards and the main regular sized card. As a result, my son found this leftover card stuff and bended the sides and made them into his own "dashes" (glasses). I was getting him something to eat and he was digging in my purse. I recall telling him there's nothing in there for him. After a few minutes he said, "Mama!" I looked. And he pointed to me, said, "Mama. Dashes." Then pointed to his face and said, "Baby. Dashes."

Trying People Lyrics - De La Soul

[intro: A friend's voicemail to Dave]
Dave, whattup man?
It's me
Umm.. just callin to see, if possible, if you have any
time today or within the next couple of days
If, if, you're in the studio.. or if you're at home.. or car, whatever
That song.. that.. it's called trying or something, Mase
was tellin me that I needed to hear?
He said it was amazing
Whoo.. the way he was talkin.. man I wanna hear it!

[Dave]
Am I just another lost in the pack?
We for shack ship, you know laugh it off
Years just blow by
My eyes stay fixed but the picture's kinda outta focus
I cry a lot but admit to it
Enjoyin life now but I've been through it
Sometimes I wish that I can go back
No bills no kids just getting tore back
I want a wife, I love women
How could I front like I don't be in love wit em?
A li'l man that I can teach
A li'l sand but not the beach
I figure excess'll only bring an excessive amount of fussin
So when I'm gone, make sure the head stone reads, 'He did it for us'
I'm like your modern day Jesus
I cherish warm thoughts like a gray goose
And float soft kisses to my baby
(yo ain't that Dave's little girl?)
Yeah, respect her for that
She gon be somebody
Instead of somebody-baby-mama
You see young minds are now made of armor
I'm tryin to pop a hole in your Yankee cap
Absorb me
The skies over your head aint safe no more
And Hip Hop aint your own
And if it is then you f**kin up the crib son
You make life look like I don't wanna live one
You might as well hold your breath until you die in a
corner somewhere bent over in the crevice
This God Theory overcomes the worst of weathers
As long as you willin to try, you on a good start homie
.. you on a good start.. see nigga tryin

[Chorus: Dave & Children]

[Dave] People are you ready?
[Children] Yes we're ready!

Are you really ready?
We wanna be ready!

Ready for the change that may approach you?
Yes!

Follow down the path that you supposed to?
Yes!

People are you ready?
Yes we're ready!

Are you really ready to try?
We wanna try harder!

You know mistakes are trials that we learn from?

Yes!

I order to live life, you must earn one?
Yes!

People are you ready?

[Pos]
Throughout my change to grow, Some of my people got left behind
They didn't listen for the gun, as I leaped from off the line
Thirteen years deep in this marathon I'm runnin
Paid dues and still got bills to pay
When I came back around the way
Old friends gave me dead eyes
and fake smiles, half wide
We were supposed to rid the world of danger
These days we nod heads and small talk like polite strangers
It's natural to fall off, just land close to the tree
I'll be there if they need me to be
and I know all my local shorties
cuz they all know who I am
and latey wanna flip grammar instead of grams
Like that's the only choice they got
They tell me how they gonna shake up the game
but came to me to see if I could give em guidance for change
Shit y'all, I need guidance myself
and I chisel right words to make gems
Got fans around the world, but my girl's no one of em
And my relationship's a big question
Cuz my career's a clear hindrance to her progression
Said she needs a man and our kids need a father
I'm not at all ready to hear her say don't bother
And break
And this I know I can't take
but uhh
C. Smith said to hold on
My brother Luck said to hold on
My nigga Dave said to hold on
My nigga Mase said to hold on
Yo, Maseo, we need to hold on
Eh, yo, y'all we need to hold on

[Chorus: Pos & Children]

[Pos] People are you ready?
[Children] Yes we're ready!

Well, what you wanna be?
We wanna be ready!

Do you wanna lose hate for love?
Yes!

Do you wanna see these gates above?
Yes!

I said people are you ready?
Yes we're ready!

But are you willing to try?
We wanna try harder!

Do you really wanna carry some weight?
Yes!

Are you ready to design your fate?
Yes!

Yo, people are you ready?
Yes we're ready!

Well what you wanna be?
We wanna be ready!..

Need Comfort?

"One day in eternity after riding a teeter-totter with God, I fell asleep with my feet in the water of a lake by a tree in a quiet little place where I could be by myself with the sun on my face. A little while later, I awoke to a rumbling and opened my eyes to see a scene so humbling. I couldn't quite catch my breath and my pulse doubled 'cause the lake looked like it boiled as it bubbled. But instead of scalding my skin, it was soothing, and it only felt like my imagination was melting. And trickling into pools of fluid intuition as secret splendor came to fruition. My own eyes surrendered as rapture found its purpose as beautiful harmonies danced on the surface. Abstract shapes of all colors first did a dance and then floated from each bubbled bursted. Literally billions of magnificent things would quake and quiver on top of the lake. I glanced left and right to see if maybe anyone else was dreaming this dream.

When I turned all the way with my back to the spectre, I saw there an angel in the form of perfection. I felt paralyzed and my voice tried to hide, she glided and just moved her hips from side to side without moving her feet, her hand held out in front of her, calm and collected, my hopes in her palm. The closer she came, and something about her, the most soothing sound grew louder and louder. Intense pleasure ran the length of my spine as I pulled her towards me with the stength of my mind. When our hands finally touched, she told me she loved me and then the shapes from the lake filled the whole sky above me. Instead of our tongues, we spoke with our eyes, while music and color pulsed from the skies.

It shines, our edges are dreams running lengthwise. Our secret wishes fluttering light years. We fashioned inferences in disguised shapes together. You are the space between my exhales. Our way of understanding is eyes closed navigation.

Quicker than dreams we traded our charms, then spent eternity in each other's arms. It was a miracle in Heaven, you could see it and hear it everywhere, the synthesis of two souls and one spirit.

Our halos were the exact same size." - good ol' BUCK.

A Day So Nice.

Humbly yours..

"The word miracle isn't really worth the same as a measure of marvel in Heaven as it is on Earth because extraordinary happenings are commonplace in the promised land, so the precedent is modified. God itself decides the phenomenom fairly fantastic in nature, happened very rarely by standards set by the practicing masters of the spectactular arts in paradise." - Buck 65
